The popular Rivers Sportsbook is open for guests to place bets on the NBA and NHL playoffs and all major sporting events.
Rivers is also working on bringing back live entertainment to the Event Center and Van Slyck’s, reopening the Poker Room, and bringing back beverage service on the casino floor as soon as possible. Pursuant to the CDC and the Governor's mandate, masks are still required for guests and Team Members who are not fully vaccinated, and optional for guests who are fully vaccinated. The health and safety of our guests and Team Members continues to be a high priority and our “Sure Bet Sanitized” cleaning program will remain in place. The casino’s daily hours of operation will remain 6 a.m. Van Slyck’s will open every Friday and Saturday moving forward. In addition, all plexiglass safety barriers have been removed from all slot machines and table games, and Van Slyck’s bar (near the Rivers Sportsbook) will reopen this Friday, June 18 for beverage service only from 6 p.m. Rivers had been operating at a reduced capacity (25 and 50 percent) since reopening in September of 2020. Schenectady, NY (June 16, 2021) – Following New York Governor Cuomo’s announcement yesterday of the relaxation of COVID-related restrictions, and approval from the New York State Gaming Commission, Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady is now back to operating at full capacity.
